Exemptions for Minors

Pupils who reside in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden or Switzerland do not need a visa if they travel as part of a school group from an EU Member State. They must be accompanied by a teacher and listed on a common format "List of Travellers" (LOT) stamped by the school. They also do not need a passport if their photo is on the "List of Travellers" (LOT) authenticated by the country of residence.

Exemptions for 3rd Country Visa

Passengers can enter with a “C” or “D” visa issued by a Schengen Member State for a maximum of 90 days in a period of 180 days.

Exemptions for Residents

Passengers with a residence permit issued by France, French Guiana, French West Indies or Reunion do not need a visa. Receipts of application for Renewal of a residence permit issued by France (Recepisse de demande de carte de sejour - renouvellement de titre de sejour) are accepted if accompanied by the expired residence permit or an expired "D" visa. - Receipts of application for a first residence permit (Recepisse de demande de carte de sejour - delivrance d'un premier titre de sejour) are not accepted.

Exemptions for 3rd Country Residents

Passengers with a residence permit issued by Andorra, Monaco or another Schengen Member State do not need a visa for a maximum of 90 days in a period of 180 days.

Exemptions for Pupils

Pupils who attend school in the United Kingdom (up to 6th form) do not need a visa if they travel as part of an organized school trip accompanied by a teacher. The teacher must have a list of the pupils (full name, date and place of birth, nationality) on a headed paper signed, dated and stamped by the head of the school. Pupils who are not British nationals must also have a valid residence permit issued by the United Kingdom.

Schengen "D" Visas issued by Portugal with the remark "CPLP" are not accepted. Schengen "C" visas must be valid for the visited Schengen Member State. This is specified in the "valid for" field of the visa.
