Passengers must have a valid visa issued by Iraq.
If an e-visa is issued for a single entry, airlines must confirm that it has not already been used. A sticker in the passport shows whether the e-visa has been used and indicates if it is for a single or multiple entries.
Passengers can obtain an e-visa before departure at https://eservice.evisa.iq , or https://visit.gov.krd/ (Kurdistan region). - Passengers with an e-visa for Baghdad (BGW), Basra (BSR), Kirkuk (KIK) or Najaf (NJF) do not require an OK TO BOARD and airlines can verify the e-visa at https://eservice.evisa.iq .

Passengers do not need a visa if they arrive at Erbil (EBL) or Sulaymaniyah (ISU) and if they travel with one of their parents who are nationals of Iraq.
Passengers that arrive at Erbil (EBL) or Sulaymaniyah (ISU) and travel with one of their parents who are nationals of Iraq and they hold valid documents proving Iraqi origin do not need a visa.
Foreign minors younger than 18 years of Iraqi parents can obtain a visa upon arrival. They must have the passport, the Civil ID, the ID Certificate or the national ID card of the parent. Payments are accepted with credit card only at Erbil (EBL), Kirkuk (KIK) and Najaf (NJF) and in cash only at Sulaymaniyah (ISU). - This does not apply when arriving at Basra (BSR).
Passengers that arrive at Erbil (EBL) with a travel document stating that their place of birth is Iraq do not need a visa.
Passengers traveling to Baghdad (BGW), Basra (BSR), Erbil (EBL), Najaf (NJF) or Sulaymaniyah (ISU) with a national ID card issued by Iraq do not need a visa. The name on the Iraqi document must be the same as stated on the passport or other document accepted for entry.
Passengers who reside abroad must obtain the Iraqi visa in their country of residence and must present their residence permit to enter Iraq.
Passengers who are eligible for a visa on arrival must pay the visa fees by credit card when arriving at Baghdad (BGW), Basra (BSR), Erbil (EBL), Kirkuk (KIK) or Najaf (NJF), and in cash when arriving at Sulaymaniyah (ISU).

Letters signed and stamped issued by the Ministry of Interior of Iraq to passengers that arrive at Baghdad (BGW), Basra (BSR) or Najaf (NJF) must be forwarded to the airline's station manager in order to receive an OK TO BOARD from the immigration. Sticker visas inside the passport have to be checked by Najaf (NJF) station in order to obtain an OK TO BOARD from the immigration.
